Creighton James is an actor/playwright and native Ohioan, living in New York City. Selected credits include: Film and TV: The Brave One, THR-NY, Little Accidents, Please Give, "The Good Wife", "Rescue Me", "Law & Order", "As The World Turns", "Law & Order: CI" and "God in America". Broadway: The Homecoming (u/s Lenny, Teddy, Joey). Other New York: Dancing at Lughnasa, The House of Blue Leaves, Major Barbara, Holiday, Working, Julius Caesar, Golden Boy, and…and…and…, The House of Yes,The Nightshade Family. Regional: The Crucible, True West, Closer, The Beauty Queen of Leenane, The Grapes of Wrath, Twelfth Night. Creighton studied at the Circle in the Square Theatre School in NYC, received a BA in Theatre from The Ohio State University and holds an MFA from the Graduate Acting Program at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. He is the co-founder of Ensemble Actors’ Theatre (Columbus, OH) and New York Theatre Experiment (NYC). Creighton is the author of eleven full-length plays and several shorts, produced in New York and regionally. Works produced in New York include Feud, Burn, Am I Born to Die? and New York Christmas Carol. Four of his plays can be found in his book, The Appalachian Plays.
